The MNC-SE insignia consists of both national and NATO symbols. The central element of the insignia is the NATO compass rose which points out that the HQ is under operational command of SACEUR. Behind the NATO logo there are two crossed weapons, a hatch and a sword which symbolise the sovereignty of the states and the combat power of the Corps.

The green colour emphasizes the land oriented character of the HQ, and the blue colour represents the core values of NATO as organisation: preserving the peace and freedom of its member states.

The three yellow stars indicate the hierarchical level of the HQ.

The Romanian flag on the bottom half of the emblem indicates the Framework Nation of HQ MNC-SE.

“FORTIS IN UNUM!” (“Strong Together!”) is our motto and shows Romania’s resolution, as part of the Alliance, to ensure a safe and secure environment in the region.
