Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East celebrated the fifth anniversary of its establishment on 18 June 2025.
The series of events dedicated to the occasion began with the inauguration of the Sibiu Hall on 17 June. This space holds special cultural significance, illustrating through images a small part of Sibiu’s vast history — the city that hosts us and supports our mission. The Sibiu Hall will serve as the place where each newly arrived service member is formally introduced to the spirit of Sibiu, symbolizing their integration into the traditions and values of the city.
The day concluded with an anniversary concert held at Thalia Hall, dedicated to the personnel of the Headquarters — a time of recognition and respect for the professionalism and dedication of our team.
On 18 June, the official anniversary day of Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East was celebrated through a festive ceremony held in Piața Mare of Sibiu. The event brought together personnel of the unit, representatives of NATO’s Force Structure and of the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, military from the subordinate units and partner military structures, local and national officials, as well as members of the Sibiu community, all in a warm and festive atmosphere.
The programme included artistic moments performed by Muzica Reprezentativă a M.Ap.N. (the representative Music Band of the Ministry of National Defence), “drill team” exercises by a detachment of the Brigada 30 Gardă “Mihai Viteazul” (the 30th Guards Brigade “Mihai Viteazul”), the military honours ceremony received by Lieutenant General Dragoș-Dumitru Iacob, Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, parade of flags, awarding of military distinctions, presentation of the Defence Staff’s Emblem of Honour to the Corps Headquarters, and speeches by attending officials.
A highlight appreciated by the audience was the static military equipment exhibition, featuring contributions from the Multinational Brigade South-East, NATO FLFBG Romania, and “Nicolae Balcescu” Land Forces Academy, where attendees had the opportunity to interact with both Romanian and international military.
We thank everyone who joined us for this special event!
We extend a special message of gratitude to the local authorities, to Romania, and to the contributing nations of the multinational headquarters, who honoured us with their presence and support. We look to the future with confidence!
