More than 500 service members from Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE), together with experts of the Romanian Armed Forces and NATO structures, took part in the training activities conducted during the computer assisted/command post (CAX/CPX) exercise “LOYAL LEDA 2025” (LOLE25), organized between 4 – 13 March in Sibiu and other locations across the Alliance.
LOLE25 was an exercise planned, organized, and led by the Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) in Türkiye through the Joint Forces Training Centre (JFTC) in Poland. Based on a fictional scenario, the main objective of this training event was to rehearse the command and control processes of land operations at the regional level.
For the NATO structures in Romania, LOLE25 reaffirms the importance and strategic role of HQ MNC-SE in the operational integration of the Allied forces, directly contributing to strengthening the security architecture on the eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Established in July 2020 and certified as a NATO structure in February 2021, HQ MNC-SE reached full operational capability at the end of October 2023, thus being certified as a corps-level combat structure, capable of ensuring command and control of NATO land operations at the regional level, in any situation.
The steps taken to establish and operationalize this structure complete the security architecture on the Alliance’s eastern flank and confirm Romania as a security provider and guarantor.
