On 20 January 2023, MNC-SE assumed the command and control of NATO Land Forces deployed in Bulgaria and Romania: Headquarters Multinational Division South East: HQ MNDSE, NFIU Bulgaria / Щабен Елемент за Интегриране Силите на НАТО в България and NATO Force Integration Unit Romania.
The Commander of MNC-SE, Major General Dragoș-Dumitru IACOB, signed the order for this new command and control arrangements of NATO Land Forces deployed in the South-Eastern flank of the Alliance during the hand over-take over ceremony organised at HQ Multinational Division South-East (MND-SE), in Bucharest/Romania.
Besides the Commanders of MNC-SE, MND-SE, NFIU-BGR, NFIU-ROU and their respective staff, the Commander of NATO Multinational Battle Group (France Framework Nation) deployed to Romania, the Commander of NATO Multinational Battle Group (Italy Framework Nation) deployed to Bulgaria, and the Commander of Headquarters Multinational Brigade South East: HQ MN BDE SE participated at this event.
Major General IACOB presented to the audience his campaign plan for the next 3 years, his orders and the integrated training plan of MNC-SE and the newly subordinate units for 2023.
