Representatives from the Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE) participated on Saturday, May 10, in the military ceremony organized on the occasion of the National Independence Day of Romania, held at “Ostașului din toate timpurile” Monument in Sibiu garrison.
On May 9, 1877, the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies proclaimed the independence of Romania, an act signed the next day by Prince Carol. Thus, according to Law 189 of July 8, 2021 every year, on May 10, the National Independence Day of Romania is celebrated.
The presence of HQ MNC-SE military personnel at the event emphasizes the solidarity and cooperation between national structures and those of the North Atlantic Alliance, reflecting the common commitment to defending democratic values, the sovereignty of member states and collective security, in accordance with the fundamental principles of NATO.
