The first edition of the “Open Gates Day” at HQ MNC-SE took place on 4 April 2024 in the new HQ premises as part of the activities organised on the occasion of NATO 75th anniversary.
More than 500 adults and about 700 children attended the event that included displays of infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers, tactical vehicles and individual weapons and equipment from Multinational Brigade South-East – Romanian, Polish, Portuguese and North Macedonian teams, as well as French Battlegroup – French, Belgian and Luxembourgish teams, Romanian Special Forces Command. The two military robots of Romanian Land Forces Academy, which can detect explosive devices and destroy them, were amongst the main attraction points.
During the activity, a military band from the Land Forces Academy in Sibiu entertained the audience with military tunes and a variety of international songs.
The setup was completed by photo and video corners, International corner and a photo exhibition dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Romania in NATO and to the Allied presence in HQ MNC-SE.
