Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE) hosted the first iteration of the Strategic Communications (StratCom) Conference, from 10 to 12 April, in Sibiu with the participation of more than 35 subject matter experts and guest speakers from academia, NATO entities, national and international organisations.
The event provided a venue to liaise with experts developing StratCom capability at various organization levels and foster continuous StratCom innovation and coordination across the Alliance. Likewise, it was an excellent opportunity for the participants to engage in productive debates, dialogues, share experiences and best practices.
The participants represented the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), Euro-Atlantic Centre for Resilience (E-ARC), NATO HQ, Romanian MoD, StratCom Centre of Excellence, and NATO Command and Force structures.
In his closing remarks, MNC-SE chief of staff, Brig. Gen. Florin Stan, stated that this StratCom Conference “brought added value in the information domain and facilitated better communication and situational understanding within our Alliance. This is particularly relevant in these challenging times.”
