Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East hosted the visit of Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and His Royal Highness Prince Radu of Romania at its premises in Sibiu on 4th of November, 2024.
Following the formal introduction, the Royal guests were presented a briefing on HQ MNC-SE ongoing missions and future development plans, offering a comprehensive overview of NATO’s commitment to security and stability in the region.
In her message to the staff, Her Majesty Margareta highlighted the actions taken by Her father, King Mihai: “My father has worked very, very hard for ten years for our country to join the Euro-Atlantic Structure, and to become once again what Romania once has been.[…] I wish you well in your missions because we need you all, not just Romania, but, I think, the world. You have a lot of responsibilities and thank you again for your warm welcome.”
Concluding their visit, Her Majesty Margareta and Prince Radu joined headquarters staff for lunch and signed the Book of Honour.
This historic visit underscores Romania’s dedication to fostering collaboration, trust, and shared purpose within the NATO community, reinforcing the country’s commitment to the Alliance’s collective mission and values.
