Representatives from MNC-SE, led by Commander Major General Cristian Dan, participated in the hand over – take over (HOTO) ceremony for the NATO Forward Land Force Battle Group (FLF BG), with France as the Framework Nation, on 17 June at the Cincu Training Area in Romania.
During the ceremony, the FLF BG site was named “General Berthelot Camp” in honor of General Henri Mathias Berthelot, a French hero symbolizing the strong ties between France and Romania. A commemorative plaque was unveiled inside the compound to pay tribute to General Berthelot.
The event was attended by French and Romanian civilian and military officials, as well as FLF BG troops from Belgium and Luxembourg. The activities included a camp visit, speeches, the awarding of medals and emblems, a static display of military equipment and vehicles, and a tactical exercise.
